The No.1 selling solo artist in US history Garth Brooks is returning to Irish soil
Brooks released his first album to chart success with the record peaking at No.2 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. The album included Brooks’ first No.1 hit ‘If Tomorrow Never Comes’ which was followed by the equally successful ‘Not Counting You’ and ‘The Dance’. Brooks has since remarked that of his entire back catalogue, ‘The Dance’ still remains his favourite song he has ever recorded.
Brooks followed the success with his sophomore album, No Fences, in 1990 which spent 23 weeks in the No.1 spot on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. It became Brooks’ highest-selling album and included what has since become one of the singer’s most well-known songs, ‘Friends in Low Places’. Later that year, Brooks was honoured by being inducted into the Grand Ole Opry.
Garth Brooks has become the No.1 selling solo artist in US history, certified by the RIAA with 157 million album sales. He’s also become a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Musicians Hall of Fame, and the Grand Ole Opry, and is the first-ever seven-time recipient of the CMA Entertainer of the Year award. And now, he’s announced his return to Dublin in 2022 to perform for Irish fans.
Included in this prize is 2 Standing Tickets for Saturday 17th September 2022.
